Future Plans
As a lessee of the Shroyer Center, the fire department is unable to make any building improvements through the county moving forward. As such, the department is hoping for either a suitable land donation or purchase of a reasonably flat parcel of land off Shroyer Drive on which to build a brand new, stand-alone station.
Plans for the new station will include a 4-bay pull-through garage for Engine 1, Tender 2, Brush 1, and future EMS and county vehicles. It will also include bunk rooms, laundry room, bathrooms, kitchen, and living area for up to 8 people and training area for around 25 people. We hope to have solid plans in place by 2026, in time for our 40-year anniversary.
