Equipment

Our Department Includes the Following Equipment:

Engine 2

Our 2017 pumper allows us to direct water flow onto a fire. We carry 1000 gallons of water, a chainsaw, 1200 feet of different sized hoses, an AED, and rescue equipment.

Tender 1

Tender 1 has been retired, although still available as backup. Added to the department in 2003, Tender 1 is a 4wd water carrying vehicle allowing us to transport 1800 gallons of water from the hydrant at Laguna Vista Community Center to the location of the fire.

Engine 1

December 2024 – Our new engine has arrived! It’s not quite in service yet but will be fully ready by our Pushing In ceremony this spring to welcome it to Laguna Vista. Replacing an aging Tender 1 while also functioning as an engine, it has a much stronger pump and increased water carrying capacity.

Brush 1

Brush 1 is a smaller vehicle with 4-wheel drive, allowing us the ability to drive in rough terrain as a first response to a fire or rescue situation.

In addition to the four main water pumping vehicles, Laguna Vista is starting the process of obtaining an ambulance or small rescue vehicle for our new Emergency Medical Services department licensed in March, 2024. We hope to become a transporting agency in the coming years.
